LGBT History Month October 1-31

LGBT History Month (U.S.) was first celebrated in 1994 was declared a national history month by President Barack Obama in 2009 to encourage openness and education about LGBT history and rights.

World Day for Poverty Eradication

World Poverty Day, formally known as the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, is held annually on October 17. It is an international day to raise awareness about the need to end global poverty in all its forms everywhere.
