Census non-respondent cards have been mailed to all voters for whom we did not receive a 2018 town census and who have therefore been inactivated per M.G.L. c.51, s.37. It is extremely important that residents who receive these cards fill them out, sign them and return them right away so we can update their voter status in advance of the coming elections. Remember, the best way to stay on the active voter list is for every household to return the annual census by the end of January every year. Returning the census keeps voters active and saves the town money - your tax dollars - by reducing the number of non-respondent cards we must send out every year. Reducing the number of voters on the inactive voter list makes elections run more efficiently.
