[ARCHIVED] Select Board Name Change

Select Board Name Change

The Chelmsford Board of Selectmen is now the Select Board.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, Governor Baker signed into law Chapter 164 of the Acts of 2020. This amends the Chelmsford Town Charter to change the name of the Town’s chief executive branch/authority to Select Board. The 2019 Fall Annual Town Meeting voted to petition the state legislature to enact this change.
