Stop Flushing ’Flushable’ Wipes

Even if it says it is "flushable," it isn’t! There has been an increase of “flushable” wipes and paper towels backing up sewer pump stations. We recognize toilet paper may be in high demand and low supply, but we urge you PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH bathroom wipes, disinfecting wipes, paper towels or fabric. Even if a container of wipes indicates they are flushable, THEY ARE NOT." The pump stations are clogging more than usual, and may cause sewer backups into peoples’ homes.
