COVID-19 Updates and Information
COVID-19 Definitions:
- Fully Vaccinated: A person is considered full vaccinated after 2 weeks of receiving 2 doses of the Moderna COVID-19, or 2 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, or 1 dose of the J&J (Janssen) COVID-19 Vaccine.
- Quarantine: If you have been exposed to a person with COVID-19, you will need to follow quarantine guidance. Quarantine is measured from the last exposure to a positive case. Quarantine guidance is available here.
- Isolation: If you are diagnosed with COVID-19, or have a high risk exposure and are symptomatic, you need to isolate yourself from people until you have been cleared. This is to prevent transmission to other people in your household and further isolation guidance is available here.
- Close Contact: Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person (Laboratory-confirmed for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). An infected person can spread SARS-CoV-2 starting from 2 days before they have any symptoms (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days before the positive specimen collection date), until they meet criteria for discontinuing home isolation.
Public Health Recommendations: The following people with recent exposure may NOT need to quarantine: People previously diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last three months and people who are Fully Vaccinated. For any questions please call your local board of health. It is recommended that individuals regardless of vaccination status who is over 2 years of age should wear a mask when in any indoor public space.
