The mission of the Chelmsford Fire Department Fire Prevention Office is to help ensure a community that is free from fire hazards through a combination of education, inspections, and enforcement actions. The Fire Prevention Office works cooperatively with residents and other stakeholders to create an environment where fire safety is a primary concern for all. The fire prevention office is the permitting authority for flammable and combustible materials storage and sprinkler and fire alarm plan reviews among other items
