Next fall I will be attending The Academy of Notre Dame for my senior year of high school. I am interested in studying Political Science or History in college, and possibly attend college in Washington D.C. Working in the Town Clerk’s office is helping me to gain experience in the subjects I’m passionate about. Last year I was in a competition called “We the People” where we studied government. My teacher told us that town government is the center of democracy and working at the Clerk’s office has proven this to be true.

Since I began interning at the Town Clerk’s office I have been able to get a first-hand experience with local government. I worked as an election officer intern at the special senate election in June, and saw how much work the Clerk’s office does to prepare for elections. Currently I am working to document past elections results so they can be posted on the Town Clerk’s website.

Fun Fact: In school I’m a member of my school Newspaper, Model United Nations, and Glee Club!
