Duties & Responsibilities
The bureau of investigative services comprises many specialized units. Investigators interview people, gather documents, and evaluate the facts of a crime. The purpose of the investigators actions are several:
- To establish that a crime was in fact committed
- To identify and apprehend the suspects
- To recover stolen property
- To assist the state in criminal prosecutions of the suspects charged with the offense
Within the Investigative Bureau there is Special Services. This consists of drug identification, interdiction, and investigation. This unit consists of undercover detectives.
