Boards & Committees
Getting Involved
The Town Manager relies on several volunteer citizen advisory boards and commissions to provide representation and direction in the many functions of town government. Appointments to fill vacancies on most boards are made each June by the Town Manager. Other vacancies are filled as they occur.
Join a Board or Committee
If you are a resident and are interested in serving on a board or commission, please complete an On-Line Committee Application. Please contact the Town Manager's Office at TMoffice@ChelmsfordMA.gov or (978) 250-5202 with any questions about the application and appointment process.
Annual Board & Committee Orientation
The Select Board, Town Manager, Town Clerk and Town Counsel will provide an annual, in-person orientation for all new Board and Committee members. All existing Board and Committee members are welcome to attend if they desire. All in-person attendees will receive a hard copy of the most up to date Committee Guide. This annual event has been recorded. Here is the link to the recording 2023 Annual Committee Orientation
