After 18 months of work, the Master Plan Committee received unanimous votes of approval from the Planning Board and Board of Selectmen in October.    In December 2010, the Town initiated the process of appointing the Master Plan Implementation Steering Committee.

MISSION:

The Planning Board strives to guide land use management that preserves the
character and integrity of the Town.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review special permits and site plans for commercial, industrial and residential
    development in accordance with the Zoning Act, M.G. L. c. 40A, the Chelmsford
     Zoning Bylaw and the Planning Board Rules and Regulations
  • Review subdivisions in accordance with the Subdivision Control Law,
    M.G. L. c. 41, ss. 81K-81GG and the Chelmsford Subdivision Rules & Regulations
  • initiate planning / zoning studies

GENERAL INFORMATION:

MEETING SCHEDULE & AGENDAS:
Planning Board meetings are regularly scheduled for the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each
month at 7:00 PM in Chelmsford Town Offices, 50 Billerica Road, Room 204.  Please
check the Town's Meeting Calendar as the the meeting schedule may be revised as needed. 
Agendas for upcoming meetings are posted on the Town's Online Documents.
