The Conservation Office's mission is to provide administrative support to the Conservation Commission and natural resource expertise to local government in order to meet the needs and priorities of Chelmsford land users. The Conservation Office follows the Chelmsford Master Plan and Open Space and Recreation Plan as guidance for implementing conservation practices. Protection of open space, natural habitats and watershed features is the highest priority, while providing opportunities for education and improving sustainability for the Chelmsford community.
