MISSION:
The Department's mission is to provide a coordinated, comprehensive and continuing approach to the Town's land use management and planning goals and objectives.
This mission is achieved as follows:
- provide administrative and technical support to the Conservation Commission, Planning Board, and Board of Appeals, Community Preservation Committee and the Historic and Historic District Commissions
- serve as a policy advisor on the Town's long-term and strategic planning initiatives related to housing, economic development, transportation and open space and natural reasources;
- serve as a grant writing body
- provide project management services for a variety of Town projects
